COACHES HEAD TO U.S. ALL STAR FEDERATION NATIONAL CONFERENCE
In April 2008 four of our coaches continued the tradition to attend the All Star Worlds Competition at the famous "Milkhouse" at Walt Disney World. After this amazing competition ended they participated in the National Coaches Conference attending classes and credentialing sessions with the top names in the cheerleading industry from across the country. Once again the coaches are excited to have this opportunity to learn and bring back new and exciting ideas for our teams. To help you get to know them better, we have compiled answers to a survey from our coaches. survey results
Karen Welch - Gym Owner & All Star Program Director

Karen has coached both school and all star cheerleading at all levels for 10 years. Her teams have won numerous titles including national, state, and local championships. She has traveled across the country to meet with leading school and all star cheer coaches and has taken "the best" from all these programs in forming HEAT Cheer. She has attained Level 6 credentialing from the US All Star Federation in Stunts, Basket Tosses & Tumbling. She is both an AACCA and WACPC certified Cheer Judge.
Courtney Joers - Gym Manager, Coach and Choreographer

Courtney was a Varsity Cheerleader with the 2004 Varsity Division II State Championship team and a former all star cheerleader. She is currently a Varsity coach at Hamilton High School and has experience with grade school coaching, camps, and clinics. Courtney is a college student pursuing a degree in communication. Her love of cheerleading shows in her desire to help the girls grow in their skills. Courtney is also a very talented choreographer. She has attained Level 6 credentialing from the US All Star Federation in Stunts, Basket Tosses, & Tumbling.
Amber Matthews – Office Manager
Amber has 10 years of office managing experience. She has been an Administrative
Assistant to Directors at Fortune 500 companies, as well as, doctors at medical
establishments. She also has supervisory experience in an office setting. She is
currently finishing her Bachelor’s degree in psychology and has plans to
continue towards a PhD in neuroscience. She is married with two children.
Ashleigh Fischer - Coach

Ashleigh was a Varsity Cheerleader with the 2004 & 2006 Varsity Division II State Championship team. She has experience with grade school & all star coaching, camps, and clinics. She is an experienced tumbler, and has professional dance training. Ashleigh also has been an all star cheerleader for 4 years and is an individual National Champion. She was named Xtreme Spirit’s 2006 Cheerleader of the Year. She has attained Level 6 credentialing from the US All Star Federation in Stunts, Basket Tosses, & Tumbling.
Sara Gale - Coach
Sara has coached as the high school varsity level for the last 7 years. She is also an experienced all star cheerleading and tumbling coach. She is also currently a kindergarten teacher and is great with kids of all ages.
Alex Kain - Coach

Alex is a former University of Louisiana cheerleader and a 2 time UCA College National champion. He was also a state champion gymnast as well as a state and nationally ranked college diver. He has been a UCA staff member since 2001. He is currently the Head Coach for Menomonee Falls High School. Alex was also the Head Coach and Program Director for an all star program at another gym before joining HEAT Cheer. Alex has an undergraduate degree in education and a master’s in exercise physiology. He is AACCA, CPR, and ACLS certified. Alex is especially talented in stunt and tumbling choreography and routine music creation.
David Lengling - Assistant Coach and Team Choreographer
David has enormous experience in all star cheerleading. He has won numerous team and individual national championships. He is an experienced coach and choreographer and also very skilled with mixing cheerleading music.
Breanne Sage - Coach
Breanne was a very successful competitive gymnasts attaining Level 10 status. Breanne is also a former high school cheerleader with a State Championship team. Breanne has an enormous amount of experience working with children and is great with all ages. She has experience coaching all star cheerleading and tumbling.
Chelsey Sprtel - Assistant Coach
Chelsey is currently a high school varsity cheerleader. She has been a member of Heat since day one. She has won numerous national championships with her teams and also competed individually. She was also a member of our 2008 Cheerleading Worlds team. She is an experienced gymnast and has experience coaching all star cheerleading and teaching tumbling. She has also worked with middle schools and has staffed various camps and clinics.
Cassie Stack - Coach
Cassie was a Varsity Cheerleader with the 2004 Varsity Division II State Championship team. She has experience assisting with grade school & all star coaching, camps, and clinics. She was also the former JV coach at Hamilton High School and led their team to a State Championship Title. She is an experienced tumbler and was also a competitive gymnast. Cassie has attained Level 6 credentialing from the US All Star Federation in Stunts, Basket Tosses, & Tumbling.
Lauren Tuska - Coach
Lauren is a former high school varsity cheerleader. She has also won numerous national championships with our senior team. She has experience coaching cheerleading to children of all ages.
